Past Present
02/16/2021
there's no greater bliss
than reminiscing on a kiss
and a nickname your past mistress
gave to you, special for you
only for you to have and use
that string of letters
does nothing to a bird
but ruffle the feathers
of a heart that died
whether you like it or not
one wing wont help
no matter how we scuffle together
dont hate me like the bad guy
i watch time go by
on the same clock you do
and count the seconds as they climb
im in my prime here
consuming media out of the straw
of advertisement and pressure
who's committing the crime here
me or the professor of that
air freshener made over the course
of a century perfected to cater to me
and get me addicted to air that's not real
its unideal to seal the deal and reveal
whats real and unreal to a bunch of clowns
who appeal to others and forget their own life
and drown by the standards driving the society
that ultimately downs their psyche around
